Sendero Spring Library
Our neighbor, Maya Esparza, recently completed a Girl Scout project she has been working on for some time. Her project was to build and install a Little Library in the Sendero Springs Park. Maya has been working with Donna Parker and the BCMUD on this project. We are very excited that Sendero Springs now has their very own Little Library! The Library is located at the front of the park close to Sendero Springs Drive. Stop by and check it out! Please feel free to take a book and add some books if you like. Books for all ages are welcome!
Thank you so much Maya for making this happen and for all of your hard work! Below is a note from Maya:
Hi neighbors! My name is Maya Esparza and I live in Sendero Springs. I’ve always wanted to build a little free library and last year when I saw you guys wanted one too, I immediately knew this is what I wanted to do for my Girl Scout Silver Award project. I got busy learning how to build one, getting the necessary approvals from GSCTX and BCMUD, and I finally finished it! My goal was to have a cute little library that could hold books for all ages for all to enjoy, close to our home that we could all share as a community. It should get installed in the next week or two and will be located in the Sendero Springs Park. I am so proud of myself for taking on this project and I really hope you guys like it and will help me load it with books that you wouldn’t mind sharing! Of course, please help keep our neighbors safe by wiping books before and after use. A special thank you to Donna Parker, for helping me get the necessary BCMUD approvals and getting the library registered on the littlefreelibrary.org map.
